Halo Insiders who choose to opt in to PC flighting will be considered for early access play sessions with in-development Halo games. Every improvement to Halo: The Master Chief Collection over the past year was the direct result of Insiders participating in flights and sharing feedback to the development team. Each public flight has specific goals, meaning not all Insiders will be selected for every flight. To increase your chances for selection, make sure your Halo Insider settings are complete and accurate – and verify your email right away.
UPDATE: Just ahead of the full release on August 8th, LAWBREAKERS has entered the open beta testing stage so everyone can jump in now and have a go!
You can download the game right now via Steam – we’ve been happily playing this one right through the closed BETA phase and it’s a very good shooter indeed, extremely fast paced with some excellent classes available that significantly change the way you’ll play.
Ohhh this one is good, really GOOD 🙂
Bring your skills and prepare to deliver death from every angle as you compete in unprecedented gravity-defying competition from legendary game designer Cliff Bleszinski and team.
LawBreakers challenges even the best players to get off the ground, and learn new ways to play in fast-paced, omni-directional multiplayer FPS combat unlike anything you’ve experienced before. Choose from 9 distinct roles represented by 18 unique characters for all FPS play-styles from offensive Battle Medics that can heal and kill, to high-flying Vanguards that can soar in 360 degree movement — all featuring multiple weapons, thrilling ability combos, dynamic movement systems and more!
We’ve jumped into the action with a GTX 1070 Gaming PC to check things out, be ready to stack that RAM up though – this one uses everything it can but WOW is it looking smoooooooth!
Starting this Saturday at 5am through till Monday, June 19th 7pm, Gigantic will be open to ALL PLAYERS via the Arc platform. You might be already playing Go Gigantic via the Windows 10 Store but with Arc stepping into the mix it’s now going to work if you have Windows 7 or 8 as well (you can use Arc on Windows 10 also, totally up to you)
You can download and play Gigantic on Arc here \o/ This weekend event is part of the Arc server stress-testing and matchmaking process, so we might hit a few intermittent connection issues 😛
Want to know what the best part is? All 18 Heroes will be available to play for free all weekend long! You’ll have plenty of time to try out each Hero and experiment with different gameplay styles over the weekend. You will also get to keep your progression once Arc expands into Open Beta.
Just a few important notes around this special the preview weekend:
– The ability to copy your Windows 10 Store progress will be made available when Arc officially joins the Open Beta. More details will be made available when the transfer is available.
– If you plan to use the Account Copy feature to bring your Xbox One/Windows 10 progress to your Arc account, any progress made over the weekend will be overwritten.
Check that inbox, a wave of Quake Champions BETA codes have just gone out for the upcoming tests running May 5th – 8th \o/
Bethesda have just revealed a new trailer for a map featured in this closed BETA test – the Ruins of Sarnath in which nature has taken hold, dripping verdant greens into the wreckage of this ancient temple, now, untold ages after they rose from the inky blackness of the Dreamlands, the Ruins of Sarnath are a blood-soaked killing field where Champions from the waking world fight to the death!
If you’ve not already registered to get into these you can find all the links needed in our Quake BETA Sign Up blog 🙂 Signups are still open, so come join us in the Arena.
As usual the hardest part is going to be deciding which game to choose, so let’s take a closer look at both options.
First up – Ghost Recon: Wildlands!
Bolivia, a few years from now. The country has become the largest cocaine producer in the world. The Santa Blanca drug cartel has turned the country into a narco-state, leading to lawlessness, injustice, and violence. The Ghosts, an elite US Special Forces team, is sent behind enemy lines to wreak havoc and takedown the cartel.
This one enjoyed the largest turnout during the Ubisoft open beta phase and is best played with a group of friends, if you find yourself in solo queue being a helicopter pilot or driver for a bunch of randoms is still pretty darn fun as well!
Next up – For Honor!
This new hack’n’slash capture’n’hold game proved itself early on with some very beautiful graphics and a slick melee battle system that had us ramming our way through the ranks to take on opposing warriors in fierce hand to hand (or blade to blade) combat.
Many, many hours have been spent in For Honor at GGPC NZ, the matches often become fantastically close battles with the skill based player matching systems working very well indeed – this one is truly exceptional if you play often, you’ll start to recognise opponents from previous encounters in game and the focus shifts from an all out battle to hunting each other down relentlessly with some face-offs lasting the entire round.
This is a register to redeem promotion, once you’ve got your awesome new hardware simply visit the registration sites as below depending on your chosen flavour, enter the details as prompted and you’ll get a game code via email 🙂
Get in quick and download Chivalry: Medieval Warfare for free on steam! It’s only going to be available for a short time but once it’s in your library the game is yours to keep 🙂
This free offer comes because the makers of this game, Torn Banner Studios are just about to release a sequel named Mirage: Arcane Warfare which is currently in BETA testing and looks amazing with a similar combat system, some beautiful new graphics, slick animations and most importantly – new ways to kill one another 😛
Mirage has a first person, skill-based combat system that lets you tear your enemies limb from limb with destructive magic and melee combat. Six diverse classes including stealthy assassins, hulking brutes, powerful mages and more. With an unparalleled focus on truly feeling in control of your magic and sword, Mirage demands combat creativity and will challenge you like never before.
The day has finally come, Claudiu (a programmer from Romania) has released the pre-alpha build of a PC Building Simulator, you can check out everything and download the PC Building Simulator here.
The purpose of this game is to try to teach people about building PCs while still having fun. Claudiu strives to make it a fun game to play, but also wants it be a tool with which you could plan out builds and practice building with without spending thousands of dollars 🙂
Although it’s still got very limited component choices the game itself is looking pretty good, discussions with companies around the use of their official parts in the game are ongoing and hopefully everyone jumps onboard to help out with models for all the excellent computer components available today. Having something like this to design gaming PC with would be really excellent for system builders of all skill levels!
We’d love to add a visual toolset like this to our own Custom Gaming PC here at GGPC New Zealand, and we’ll keep following this one along as it progresses.
It’s almost time to gear up, grab your friends and enter the world of Dauntless! With the BETA tests about to begin you can sign up now to be involved and secure your player name at the same time 🙂
For fans of the Monster Hunter or Dark Souls series this one is looking very good indeed and currently follows a similar style of gameplay requiring player to pay close attention to visual ques from the massive beasts and time a combination of light, heavy and special attacks to bring them down. As you inflict damage your characters aether will build up, this looks to behave like a rage meter allowing us to inflict even more damage as a reward for aggressive tactics but we won’t know for sure what else this can be used for until we get in and see for ourselves.
The different weapons available provide the player with unique moves and in the build up to the large trophy creatures we’ll be tackling smaller ones and gathering resources in preparation, of course the best weapons will be made from parts of the hardest creatures and that’s going to keep us going back for more – much like Monster Hunter the game has embraced dismemberment and not only will defeating the enemy reap rewards but selectively dissecting parts as you battle will limit the creatures means to defend itself and quite possibly yield the specific rewards needed to craft certain weapons. These weapons also setup the player into certain roles within the group and there are some very cool looking ones like the Hammer-Cannon with which you can effectively catapult yourself into combat on!
Below is 10 minutes of pre-alpha gameplay as a team work together to hunt down the massive icey beast – Pangar \o/ This is just one of the massive creatures we’ll be taking down in the months ahead, we can’t wait to try this one out for ourselves with our own Gaming PC here at GGPC NZ.
It’s almost time to return to the arena, so dust off that railgun and prepare to test your rocket jumping skills – the highly anticipated BETA tests for Quake Champions is about to begin!
From the gaming giants at Bethesda Softworks this one follows in the arena shooting footsteps that were laid down over 20 years ago, the original Quake set new standards for multiplayer competition and pushed the boundaries for both graphics and gameplay (you could look up and down, this is the first FPS game I remember being able to do this in) with fast-paced, skill-based arena-style competition that turned the original Quake games into multiplayer legends paving the way for the arena based shooters we know and love playing today.
This latest version looks to have taken a few notes from those that have come in-between as well, with characters now available sporting different combinations of health, armour and speed as well as unique abilities like healing totems, shields and teleports.
You can register here now for a chance to be involved in the upcoming closed BETA tests for this one, and through your feedback help shape the game into a multiplayer masterpiece worthy of the Quake lineage 🙂 Lot’s on fun times ahead testing this one out for ourselves with our own Gaming PC here at GGPC NZ.
