Marvel Avengers PC BETA sign-ups begin!

UPDATE: BETA key offer has now ended

Intel Gaming Access is now live with their new Marvel Avengers BETA sign-up website so we can all register to get the first wave of access keys!

Register for access to the PC BETA here =

Marvel’s Avengers is an upcoming, third-person, action-adventure game that combines an original, cinematic story with single-player and co-operative gameplay.

The full game promises to be playable with a team of up to four players online so we can enjoy this one with friends if we want too, with each hero having their own unique abilities we can use to defend the Earth from escalating threats.

Set in a timeline when Super Heroes are outlawed, a young Kamala Khan must reassemble the Avengers to stop AIM. Marvel’s Avengers is looking to be an epic 3D beat-em-up with new heroes and missions planned to be delivered on an ongoing basis.

We’re excited to test the performance on a range of different gaming PC configs, this BETA times itself with the full game release expected in September too, so it’s sure to be a very polished looking game already 🙂

Good Gaming – Halo Reach PC Beta Signups (last chance!)

If you want to join in, the remastered version of Halo: Reach is entering BETA testing on PC – so this is your last chance to jump in! (without buying the Game Pass subscription that is)

Signups for this one are two-fold, first, you’ll need to become an Xbox Insider, then a Halo insider, as the two accounts are tied together.

You’ll also need to provide your PC DXDIAG information during the process, so you can’t really do this one from your smartphone.

Step #1: Sign up for Xbox Insider here

Step #2: Sign up for Halo Insider here

Halo Insiders who choose to opt in to PC flighting will be considered for early access play sessions with in-development Halo games.  Every improvement to Halo: The Master Chief Collection over the past year was the direct result of Insiders participating in flights and sharing feedback to the development team. Each public flight has specific goals, meaning not all Insiders will be selected for every flight. To increase your chances for selection, make sure your Halo Insider settings are complete and accurate – and verify your email right away.

PREPARE FOR BATTLE – For Honor + Ghost Recon Wildlands YOU CHOOSE GTX BONUS!

GGPC Wildlands For Honor Nvidia GTX 1060 1070 1080 ti Free Game You Choose Bonus

UPDATE: This promotion has now ended, you have until the 30th Jun to redeem your codes.

Play a battle-hardened warrior in For Honor or go behind enemy lines to take down the cartel in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. For a limited time, claim your choice of these Ubisoft games as a bonus when you gear up with selected GTX 1070, GTX 1080, GTX 1080Ti graphics cards or Gaming PCs and Gaming Laptops featuring these beasts!

As usual the hardest part is going to be deciding which game to choose, so let’s take a closer look at both options.

First up – Ghost Recon: Wildlands!

Bolivia, a few years from now. The country has become the largest cocaine producer in the world. The Santa Blanca drug cartel has turned the country into a narco-state, leading to lawlessness, injustice, and violence. The Ghosts, an elite US Special Forces team, is sent behind enemy lines to wreak havoc and takedown the cartel.

This one enjoyed the largest turnout during the Ubisoft open beta phase and is best played with a group of friends, if you find yourself in solo queue being a helicopter pilot or driver for a bunch of randoms is still pretty darn fun as well!

Next up – For Honor!

This new hack’n’slash capture’n’hold game proved itself early on with some very beautiful graphics and a slick melee battle system that had us ramming our way through the ranks to take on opposing warriors in fierce hand to hand (or blade to blade) combat.

Many, many hours have been spent in For Honor at GGPC NZ, the matches often become fantastically close battles with the skill based player matching systems working very well indeed – this one is truly exceptional if you play often, you’ll start to recognise opponents from previous encounters in game and the focus shifts from an all out battle to hunting each other down relentlessly with some face-offs lasting the entire round.

This is a register to redeem promotion, once you’ve got your awesome new hardware simply visit the registration sites as below depending on your chosen flavour, enter the details as prompted and you’ll get a game code via email 🙂

Get in quick and download Chivalry: Medieval Warfare for free on steam! It’s only going to be available for a short time but once it’s in your library the game is yours to keep 🙂

This free offer comes because the makers of this game, Torn Banner Studios are just about to release a sequel named Mirage: Arcane Warfare which is currently in BETA testing and looks amazing with a similar combat system, some beautiful new graphics, slick animations and most importantly – new ways to kill one another 😛

Mirage has a first person, skill-based combat system that lets you tear your enemies limb from limb with destructive magic and melee combat. Six diverse classes including stealthy assassins, hulking brutes, powerful mages and more. With an unparalleled focus on truly feeling in control of your magic and sword, Mirage demands combat creativity and will challenge you like never before.

Good Gaming – PC Building Simulator’s demo available now

GGPC PC Building Simulator

The day has finally come, Claudiu (a programmer from Romania) has released the pre-alpha build of a PC Building Simulator, you can check out everything and download the PC Building Simulator here.

The purpose of this game is to try to teach people about building PCs while still having fun. Claudiu strives to make it a fun game to play, but also wants it be a tool with which you could plan out builds and practice building with without spending thousands of dollars 🙂

Although it’s still got very limited component choices the game itself is looking pretty good, discussions with companies around the use of their official parts in the game are ongoing and hopefully everyone jumps onboard to help out with models for all the excellent computer components available today. Having something like this to design gaming PC with would be really excellent for system builders of all skill levels!

We’d love to add a visual toolset like this to our own Custom Gaming PC here at GGPC New Zealand, and we’ll keep following this one along as it progresses.

Good Gaming – Dauntless BETA about to begin!

GGPC Dauntless BETA about to begin

It’s almost time to gear up, grab your friends and enter the world of Dauntless! With the BETA tests about to begin you can sign up now to be involved and secure your player name at the same time 🙂

For fans of the Monster Hunter or Dark Souls series this one is looking very good indeed and currently follows a similar style of gameplay requiring player to pay close attention to visual ques from the massive beasts and time a combination of light, heavy and special attacks to bring them down. As you inflict damage your characters aether will build up, this looks to behave like a rage meter allowing us to inflict even more damage as a reward for aggressive tactics but we won’t know for sure what else this can be used for until we get in and see for ourselves.

The different weapons available provide the player with unique moves and in the build up to the large trophy creatures we’ll be tackling smaller ones and gathering resources in preparation, of course the best weapons will be made from parts of the hardest creatures and that’s going to keep us going back for more – much like Monster Hunter the game has embraced dismemberment and not only will defeating the enemy reap rewards but selectively dissecting parts as you battle will limit the creatures means to defend itself and quite possibly yield the specific rewards needed to craft certain weapons. These weapons also setup the player into certain roles within the group and there are some very cool looking ones like the Hammer-Cannon with which you can effectively catapult yourself into combat on!

Below is 10 minutes of pre-alpha gameplay as a team work together to hunt down the massive icey beast – Pangar \o/ This is just one of the massive creatures we’ll be taking down in the months ahead, we can’t wait to try this one out for ourselves with our own Gaming PC here at GGPC NZ.
