Update: A new open beta for Paragon has begun, the first phase has begun and will run until May 1. The second phase begins on May 5 and will be playable until May 8. The servers will be online from 9 AM PT/5 PM UK time for both events. Please note, Epic Games have said “The first stress test will include invites for the first 500,000 people who signed up for the beta only, the second stress test will include invites for anyone who signs up before May 1.”
You can sign up for the beta, or buy a Founder’s Pack for early access at www.paragon.com. Founder’s Packs include Master Challenges, which let you level your heroes to achieve mastery and claim unique rewards, completing a Master Challenge unlocks a taunt and the exclusive Master Skin that showcases your dedication and skill.
Paragon is designed so that every player can compete and win without ever having to spend money. New heroes every three weeks, community events, and daily and weekly rewards give you the opportunity to hone your skills and try out new play styles. This is a game where skill matters – where you aim, when you attack, and how you move – putting you in direct control of the action in a fully 3D world.
Cards give your heroes unique powers and capabilities on the battlefield. You build up your collection by playing, and can create decks that will hopefully lead your team to victory – because cards affect power in game, they can only be earned by playing the game.
We’ve been happily testing Paragon out with a mix of gaming hardware and as you can see in our GTX960m Gaming Laptop test below, the game is looking great!
ALPHA testing sign ups have just begun for the upcoming hyper violent game – LAWBREAKERS
An exhilarating new first-person shooter where even the laws of physics can be shattered, creating unprecedented gravity-based combat, resulting in an ever-evolving and bloody arena. Master a cast of anti-heroes to conduct a savage symphony of vertical role-based combat across a rebuilt American landscape in this mature multiplayer FPS from industry veteran Cliff Bleszinski and Boss Key Productions.
Unparalleled vertical violence awaits us in this one! Master the skills of an array of diverse anti-heroes, ranging from Cronos, a murderer who survived electrocution on death row to Axel, a federal agent with a tattered past fighting for justice. Whether you kill for the nobility of the “Law,” or are out for blood as a “Breaker,” these symmetrical roles satisfy any appetite in an arena where the most skilled player and team will rise.
You can sign up for testing here, the country selection isn’t alphabetized so you’ll actually find New Zealand right up top 🙂
In the DOOM Multiplayer Beta, fans will have the opportunity to play the brutally fun and challenging shooter weeks before its release. The Beta will feature two maps, Heatwave and Infernal, and two modes, Team Deathmatch and Warpath, along with never-before-seen weapons, armour sets, taunts and hack modules.
We’ve begun our gameplay FPS tests on the GGPC YouTube channel so you can check the performance out on various gaming hardware 🙂
I love the way the glyphs on the walls glow to show that a Revenant is nearby – little things like this make for some excellent gameplay!
There is no ban on sharing this time around so we can all stream, record video, and play Battleborn to our heart’s content!
During this Open Beta, you’ll be able to experience the natural progression of Battleborn; including two Story Mode episodes, two Competitive Multiplayer Modes, 25 heroes (some instantly available, some will unlock as you progress). Playing either Story Mode or Competitive Multiplayer Modes will earn you XP towards temporary Helix augmentations as well as persistent Command Rank and Character Rank levels. On every map and in every Mode, you’ll find strategically located, buildable tactical structures. These buildables can purchased – and upgraded – using Shards found throughout each level.
Powerful heroes join the fray! Changing the battle with new abilities and ultimates. Paragon blasted its way into a new stage of testing with players allowed to share and stream gameplay from the latest MOBA game – it even has a built-in Replay System, making it easy to export to YouTube + a GIF creator so you can share your most glorious moments instantly, and even build guides for the community.
“But what about that message saying I can’t share gameplay!”
Don’t worry about that – it’s a glitch left over from the first round of testing as below in this Tweet from EpicGames addressing the confusing situation!
New York is in trouble. A devastating epidemic sweeps through the city and in the wake of the disease basic services fail one by one. Without food and water, the streets are in chaos and new factions rise to profit from the mayhem. Amid the chaos, a classified unit of self-supported sleeper agents known as The Division is activated and tasked with one mission: take back the city.
We’ll be fighting to piece the city back together one block at a time in this latest Ubisoft release and whether you like to play solo, support a group of friends, or sit back and dish out damage with the biggest gun possible – you’re going to need some heafty hardware to run this one well, things have been turned up a bit since the BETA!
looking first at a very popular Gaming Laptop configuration, the Nvidia GTX 960m inside is quite happy making a mess inside this sports centers diner, and check out that 7GB RAM usage!
Next up on the desktop side, our GTX 960 Graphics Card + intel i5 quad core combo from the GGPC Assassin Gaming heats things up in this festive looking department store 🙂
While the main missions contain what is certainly the most graphically impressive moments we’ve encountered in the game so far, there is an open-world RPG experience to be enjoyed running around within the darkzone fulled with tactical decisions, RPG action, trading and more loot than you can fit into your pack.
Break’s over, team—it’s time to get back out on the battlefield!
Round 2 of the Overwatch Closed Beta is officially underway in the Americas and Europe gameplay regions. We’ve added a ton of new content and features for our testers to analyze, including a new player progression system, new game mode, new maps, revamped Custom Game options, and a variety of hero balance updates.
Check out the complete patch notes for a breakdown on everything that’s been added and changed, including some additional hero balance insights from our developers. You can also read more about the new progression system here.
After what felt like ages for many fans, Blizzard announced that the Closed Beta of Overwatch will be relaunched next week.
For the NA and EU region, February 9 will be the date to mark in the agenda. If we are considered a part of the Asia group we will have to wait a short while longer, with beta relaunching there on the 16th of February. The short blog post from Blizzard did not only confirm the return of the Beta, but also mentioned the changed that have been made since the last playable version of the game. Without going too much into detail yet, the posts mentions the following updates:
A renewed progression system
A new game mode, alongside two new maps
Several heroes have had balance updates
Private games have been updated, and now allow full A.I. matches
These major points were the leading subjects of most discussions, and it comes as no surprise that Blizzard has changed (and wants to highlight those changes) in the past months.
Apart from the in-game changes, the post also reminds all former players that they will be able to play the game again when Beta goes live. In addition to this the post urges aspiring heroes to sign up for Beta, as they’re looking into recruiting more players to test the game. This might be a hint towards a new wave of invites coming soon, which would certainly not come as a surprise after such a long downtime.
How do I sign up you ask? You’ll have to already own one of the selected Blizzard games (like Diablo 3) so sign into your battle.net and get in the que!
