Starting today, and till the end of December, if you gear up with Asus RTX Graphics Cards you can register to redeem a Call of Duty Black OPS 4 games bonus to go with your awesome new GPU 🙂
This promotion is currently combined with another Asus Motherboard, Router & Monitor event, and uses the same redemption page right now – but graphics card purchases can only be redeemed between December 1st 2018 – December 31st.
As you may have gathered from the list of gear receiving a Black OPS 4 bonus from Asus right now they’ve gone pretty hard out in support of the game, creating a new range of special edition motherboards with skull logos, mouse pads and even routers wearing the COD badges.
For those who haven’t jumped on yet, Black OPS 4 is still going strong with fast-paced FPS combat, creative weapons, zombies, and intense multiplayer action – it’s a pretty sweet bonus!
We’ve teamed up with Nvidia to create some wonderful new battle royale gaming systems! ShadowPlay is a key factor here, the Nvidia software works within Fortnite to capture your best moments automatically, using a function called ShadowPlay Highlights! Never let an epic moment go unsaved with ShadowPlay Highlights for Fortnite Battle Royale. Every kill, death, and Victory Royale moment is captured for easy sharing with all your friends and followers online.
All gameplay below was recorded using this built-in ShadowPlay game capture software!
Some of you will be thinking “I already have a GGPC with these exact specs so what’s new about these builds?!” – and fair enough! With these three new GGPC we’ve made them a little smaller than usual in the Phanteks P300 Chassis, every effort in choosing the parts has been made with a strong focus on a clean look and solid upgrade path too – with the 8GB Ram kits used being black HyperX single dimms to leave 3x slots free for expansion all the way up to 32GB, we’ve pre-fitted both SSD (for OS and your favourite games) and HDD (for everything else) but you’ll find 2x slots ready and waiting should you want to add more. We’ve added nothing that could be considered unnecessary except for maybe our GPU support bars – but those are awesome for big graphics cards and we’ve gone large on one of the builds here, using the biggest GTX 1070 we could find for GGPC Ace 😛
Let’s start with the current favourite GGPC Hero and drop in on Tilted Towers with the GTX 1050 + Ryzen 2200G combo, this gives us excellent FPS using a custom settings mix of medium shadows and epic view distance. (exact setting used shown at the end of all videos)
Moving onto our first new addition to the lineup, GGPC Drift with a GTX 1050Ti 4GB and an Intel 8th Gen i3-8100 quad core combo yet again proves itself very capable, although it’s certainly not the most powerful of the new range, Drift happily pushes out a very respectable 60FPS on all high settings, even while in some pretty intense Fornite rocket battles.
Stepping up the performance a notch we move onto the new GGPC Ravage with its Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB graphics card and Intel i5-8400 six core CPU inside. This tried and true config delivers smooth 60+ gameplay on epic settings in Fortnite.
If you’re hunting for even more frames then the new GGPC Ace with a powerful GTX 1070 8GB + Intel i5-8400 is just the ticket! Smoothly gliding into the Tilted Towers this build pushes out 90+ FPS even during the toughest battles.
Moving onto the new RTX series of graphics card we see excellent performance from all the new graphics cards even while capturing at 4K resolutions. We’ve used a new GGPC i5-9600K + RTX 2070 system for these tests, swapping out the graphics card to capture each.
The RTX 2080Ti is understandably the most impressive of the bunch, able to stay above 60FPS on full epic settings even while we drop on the cube and get into a firefight.
Moving onto the RTX 2080 we achieve very similar performance one we drop the shadows down from Epic to High. You can run on full epic with the RTX 2080 like we’ve done in this video too, it’s only during the very intensive drops and large firefights that it drops into the high 50’s.
Moving onto the RTX 2070 we again enjoy some incredible performance, this time dropping the Shadows setting to medium, with anti-aliasing and effects on high to maintain our 60FPS+ target at the 4K resolution.
